Dozens Killed in Gaza as Israeli Strikes Hit Civilians Waiting for Aid

At least 68 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in Gaza by Israeli gunfire and airstrikes, according to local civil defence officials. In response, the Israeli army said its troops only fired warning shots at a group approaching their position. They claimed to be unaware of any casualties and did not comment on the deaths reported near Zikim. Independent verification of the events remains difficult.
